Movie Poster Redesigns

One of Campus Life's long-running programs was its free Friday Night Movies in the Student Center. Standard practice for creating the promotional posters for each movie used to consist of hunting down high quality JPEGs from the movie and adding a few extra bits of information for our showing of the film.
My coworker and I, inspired by Ollie Moss and other designers reworking recognizable artwork into the "Minimalist" style, somehow managed to convince our supervisor (who actually gave us a surprising amount of creative freedom) to let follow that aesthetic with the Friday Night Movie posters.
After the transition, Friday Night Movies attendance actually increased, and Campus Life later held movie poster giveaway contests on Facebook, which also gained more attention to both CL's social media presence and the weekly event.
